Do you have an old washing machine that has just seen its better days? Have you had to have it worked on a time or two already? Most of the time you might only have to work on a washer once, but you can have one for so long that no matter what you do to it, the problems with running it become to much. If this is your situation then it is probably time to go out and buy a new one.
This old washing machine can also cause you to have a lot of problems with water damages. You could have leaks from the hoses that hook up to it or you could have a water run out from underneath. All of this water will do major damage to the appliance and the floors underneath and around it. Some of this water you might not see right away and the damage might not be noticed until it is too late. The damage that you might find could be so bad that the whole floor under it will have to removed. This machine could be so bad that the whole thing could be so rusted inside and showing signs on the outside.
If you think your machine is doing this to your floors, do not wait for something to happen. If you know that this machine has seen its better days, it would be in your best interest to get a new one. When you remove this old one and you find water damage underneath it, have this work done before you put in a new machine. Make sure you hire a licensed professional to check out this floor to make sure what has to be done first. Then they will bring in all of their tools to fix up this floor. They will make sure that all is safe before you install your new washer.
Any time you find water damage, you want to have the water damage company check for mold as well. Usually if water has been affecting an area of a home for very long there is a good chance that mold has developed as well. When you install your new washing machine make sure that it is level and that all the hoses are connected correctly. The drain hose must be in the drain pipe a fair distance to prevent it from running back out on the floor.
