One of God’s promises state that he is very gracious, while being filled with great compassion. Because of his great mercy that he has for humanity, he will be slowed to anger.
So what we are finding here is that God is very gracious to those that serve him. For the people who have decided to accept responsibility for the way they live their lives.
For those who have the courage and strength to turn away from everything they once thought was right that came from out of the world.
Now I say courage because, you must have this to be able to break away from social circles that you have establish and become comfortable with. It’s not easy to be able to break away from friends and family and be on your own.
This is what happens when we start to accept responsibility for our actions, by doing one of the first steps. Separating ourselves from associations and habits that have caused us to go astray in the first place.
Remember God wants you near, he will be full of compassion and love while fully accepting you in his arms. It’s shameful that we don’t understand how much God truly love’s us. If we were to look at how we feel about our own kids.
This will give you a perfect example of how God feel about us as well. But he will have unlimited patience when it comes towards us. I can’t say we could do the same when it comes to dealing with our own kids. But I’m not going to say we don’t try.
Now this will make him slow to anger, for all who offends him. Who knows why people test God. There could be so many reasons why people will even put themselves in these types of positions.
But God understands that, we often times put limits on ourselves only to what we can see with our natural eyes. If we could take those limits off , and view things with our spiritual eyes, I believe we won’t be so quick to anger when it comes with trying to deal with God.
So for this reason I’m really thankful for his gift of mercy that he has for all that is seeking him. Remember, he is not only ready to give and provide for us, but he is also ready to forgive us for all our sins.
