Biceps are a point of pride with many men. They are the ultimate way to show your strength when there is nothing around for you to prove your strength. In some ways, large biceps are a man’s way of showing other men that he can beat them in a fight, so they better leave him alone.

That is why it is no wonder that most people’s goal with their workouts is to build big biceps. Biceps are the number one way to show that you are getting results from your workouts, because if anyone asks you can simply flex your muscles and show them that you have not been weightlifting for nothing.

But building your biceps is not as easy as simply performing a few biceps curls and getting visible results. There are a number of things you want to do if you want to make sure that you big build biceps quickly.

1. Go for a Complete Bicep Workout

The first thing is to make sure that your bicep is getting a proper workout. Make sure that you are doing more than one bicep exercise, because there are a number of different exercises available and each one may hit a different part of your bicep. That will make sure that the muscle grows very quickly and you see results right away.

2. Go for a Complete Arm Workout

Here is where it gets tricky, but if you want to see big biceps, you are going to want to make sure that your other arm muscles have received the workout that they deserve as well. Your triceps need to be larger, and there is even a muscle under your bicep that, while not actually your bicep, does make your bicep appear larger when it is also exercised.

3. Size is all that Matters

When we are talking about building big biceps we are talking about size. Strength is very important, yes, but that is a different issue. When your goal is appearance over strength, as many people’s is, you can do that by making sure you have a great deal of resistance for fewer reps, rather than less resistance (weight) for several reps.

4. Do it Right

You are not going to get anything from your workout if you fail to perform the exercise correctly. Make sure that you are consistently performing the exercise the way it was meant to be performed. One tip is that if you notice that you are feeling pain in an area that is not on your arm, there is a good chance you are doing the exercise incorrectly.

5. Don’t Swing

Many people swing their arms, especially when dropping the weight from a bicep workout before bringing it back up again. Always go slowly, and never have your arm swing or try to use another muscle to help make sure that the weight is able to be lifted all of the way. If you are using another muscle for help, that is the muscle that is going to get worked out (not your biceps) and if you swing, no muscle is going to get worked at all.
