If you live to give face framing highlights, you should probably only apply for jobs that will give you the experience to hone your coloring skills. The key to putting your esthetician training to use is to find a job that constantly challenges you, enabling you to adapt your skills to just about any situation. Try applying to several different jobs, and even if you do not land your dream job right away, work hard at the next best thing. Once your client list has developed and your portfolio is rock solid, you can use the not quite awesome job as a stepping stone to get to the place where you want to be. At the very least, you will be doing what you love while using your esthetician training, regardless of where you work.
